[TT] MSI Geforce GTX 680 Lightning Spotted - Page 63

Crazy score Xoleras! I doubt I'll be able to come close to that even with water cooling my 7970's. Hopefully AMD can find some performance increases in 3dmark11 with upcoming driver releases. Seems Nvidia owns this bench for sure! thumb.gif

just a reminder; we're trying to gauge interest in a full cover 680 lightning block made by AquaComputer.
If anyone is remotely interested; please drop by this thread and take a look smile.gif

In single card mode with 70% fan, with a 1350mhz overclock and 75% manual fan it will stay at 52C or below during stress testing. Keep in mind the upper card in SLI will have higher temps, but in single card mode you can expect really, really good temps.
Note: You must have excellent case air flow to SLI these cards, don't put it in a mATX case without good air flow

LOL!!!!!!!!! EPIC temps thumb.gif

P.S. I got HAF 932, guess its good enough?

Yeah HAF932 is a good case. Now I should emphasize that my temps may not match others, I do have a ton of 120mm PWM fans in my case to optimize the air flow...in fact...I have 7 120mm fans (4 on a 240mm rad up top, 2 on side panel, and another on top of case), a 140mm fan in the rear and another 140 in the front...its sort of overkill for airflow wink.gif

But you definitely won't be disappointed!

Hey I know you told us in the past but what are those cards clocked at for that run (or max heaven stable OC) I think I remember you saying something like 1322mhz in sli??? and what is the memory clocked to? the picture was too small for me to make it out smile.gif

EDIT: I got the picture opened in a new window LOL

I got GTX680 DCII on order, but it never hurts to get another lightning is it ? biggrin.gif

BTW imho 230mm fans are almost useless, they do refresh the air in the case, but they don't really cool the card/s as it should.

2x high quality 120mm fans on the side panel instead of 1x 200/230mm will get you at least 3/4c lower temps on the card/cards.

I hear you...I wish they made more 200mm fans that actually push lots of air....Cooler Master megaflows seem to be used alot, but they suck at pushing air compared to 2 decent 120mm. Apparently NZXT makes a high air flow 200mm, but I hear so many reliability issues with that model, I don't even want to touch it

On another note, I was thinking of swapping my Haf X side panel for a HAF 932 side panel, which houses up to 4 120mm fans....the side panel is about $40 shipped from cooler master, so not that bad....or I was thinking of getting someone to straight up "trade" a 932 side panel for my haf X one...not sure if any local is down for it though

For fans, I really like the 140mm Aerocool Black Sharks. When I'm using 120mms, I like the Noctua fans, and my favorite 200mm fans are the Bitfenix Spectre Pro fans. My new rad is going to have 18 of the Aerocool Black Sharks on it, 9 on each side.

My latest run with CPUz
With a 16K+ physics score I believe I would be close to P20000 in SLI.

Had to drop the memory clock slightly. 7030Mhz to 7020Mhz.

Eyeing P12500 graphics score when we recieve 2.2.3 Afterburner
