[TT] MSI Geforce GTX 680 Lightning Spotted - Page 67

Well initial results are in on Card 1... It's AMAZING biggrin.gif

Still haven't crashed yet in 3dMark11, so don't even know what the max clock is yet, but I figured I'd post what I have so far because I got a quick question. Results first- http://3dmark.com/3dm11/3794998

Stable in 3dMark11 @ 1331mhz. Highest temp recorded by Afterburner was 59C (with stock fan profile. Was completely silent). Stock Boost Clock was 1202mhz and stock 3dMark11 GPU Score was 11,050. At 1331mhz (and still stock memory) the GPU Score was 12,002. For a comparisson, my reference 680 was 9,300 stock GPU Score and 10,900 with max overclock.

Loving this card so far. Cannot wait to SLI after testing and put some new personal bests in my sig thumb.gif

Question: The GPU usage during 3dMark11 is sometimes at 97% or 98% for a little. Is this normal? I could have sworn I stayed at 99% the entire time with my other cards. It doesn't downclock at all and it is NO WHERE near the max TDP, but it still is at 97% for maybe 1 to 3 seconds. Normal?

Yea, I see the same utilization in test 1, sometimes test 2. It fluctuates.

TXAA is finally here!
Quote:
New in 304.79 Drivers:

•Adds support for NVIDIA TXAA
•NVIDIA TXAA is new film-style anti-aliasing technique designed specifically to reduce temporal aliasing (crawling and flickering in motion) through a combination of hardware AA, custom CG film style AA resolve, and a temporal filter.
•The Secret World is the first game to support TXAA (support will be enabled in an upcoming patch)..
•TXAA is supported on GeForce GTX 600-series Kepler-based GPUs.
•Learn more about TXAA on GeForce.com.

Well, the second card brought me back to reality. Still very impressed though. Best SLI run- http://3dmark.com/3dm11/3798689

Card 1 was stable at 1372mhz/7100mhz. Card 2 was stable at 1302mhz/6600mhz. In SLI I maxed out at 1350mhz/6600mhz and 1296mhz/6500mhz.

With a little voltage for the bottom card, I'll be able to run SLI at 1350mhz no problem. Top card will stay cool and run it at the stock voltage, bottom card will take a little voltage bump and also be fine, since after testing, it's max temp was 55C.

Really looking forward to 2.2.3. Max temp for the top card was 63C (with stock fan profile still).

When 1300 is considered lower end of the spectrum for the lightning, you KNOW the card is a winner thumb.gif

A little more voltage should fix that right up for you. Nothing to sneer at! 1350/1300 is pretty darn good IMHO.

I'm praying that my new Sapphire 7970 OC's can both hit 1300+MHz on water...
