Definitely thinking about RMA as this card is way worse than the other in terms of OCing and I paid $470 for a new card, not a returned item....

Yeah, definitely wouldn't tolerate a used card, RMA it. When I get a card unless its new with no fingerprints, everything shrinkwrapped and everything taped properly without the slightest hint of tampering....I don't accept it. I received a 7970 from newegg that was the same as you describe and I immediately called newegg and RMA'ed it, fortunately amazon.com is great in terms of CS and they will even pay for return or cross shipping.

Ouch, got one today, crashes past 1250Mhz on LN2 Bios. I'll eat the restocking fee

Yeah bro, eat that fee, so people like the guy above keep getting used cards. Way to abuse the system.

Facepalm at you people returning cards just because they're not golden overclockers.

You guys should hit up Walmart's tampon section.

The store I bought from actually sells used cards as, you know, used cards - unlike Newegg. I'm the only one that loses anything from this return, I don't understand what your problem is. Nor do I care.

I also don't understand how Newegg's dirty deeds are any of my concern, I hardly do any shopping there.

Let's see, I buy the card for retail price, pay 10% restocking fee - store sells for 95% of the price so the manufacturer is getting the same amount of $ and the store is actually making an additional 5% profit off me. Wow, I am SUCH a terrible person, someone please spank me for being a bad boy!

Returning a product is every consumer's right if the store chooses to have a policy in place that ensures minimal or no loss of profit, via restocking fees. If it makes you feel any better the fan cable was impaled by the shroud all the way to the copper wiring on one lead during shipping, I'm actually being nice paying the restocking fee as I could get away with saying it got damaged during shipping.

Regardless, I was very impressed with the cooler, on custom fan profile it never passed 58c!

Keeping mine for sure. 1350 Core, 7020 Effective Memory in LN2 mode. P12,235 3Dmark11 graphics score on i7-3930K. Hoping I can hit 1375-1400 core when we receive Afterburner 2.2.3.

Good to hear. Wanna trade so that I can SLI at 1350mhz? Ha.

Bottom card really holds the top one back, but it's a great card nonetheless so I'm definitely keeping it. I don't mind much that the bottom card has a 50mhz slower stable speed, because now I need SLI less often with the awesome top card. And if I need more power in a game I just run SLI at 1296mhz and never go over 60C biggrin.gif
