"Out the box" it may have slightly better cooling than a 600T w/mesh side. Certainly not after you have 4x 120mm fans installed on the side panel blowing right on to the GPUs. wink.gif Material wise and space though, the Cosmos ii is a BEAST!

No problem, when the lightning comes in stock for me too, i will show you the afterburner in both battlefield 3 and skyrim.
Please do, we await your results. lachen.gif

I agree with you on VRAM but its ridiculous that every time you disagree with someone, you either insult them or become really hostile/angry. I do hope you don't deal with conflicts in the workplace like this, I can't imagine staying employed for a long time with that attitude

why hasn't anyone made a new post about the review of this card instead of keep posting on this thread

i find myself following and checking this thread to see if afterburner 2.2.3 is released, but the msi cards (680 lghtning, 670 PE) arent even out over here (Philippines). im just so hyped about unlocked voltage, enough for me to even doubt whether my 680 directcu is good enough, and i know i should be happy cause its a good card. although i only get 1270 core max stable. sigh*

MSI_Alex said that with 2 of the exact same cards, only difference being 2GB VRAM versus 4GB, the 2GB's memory will be faster. Granted, in real-world application, 4GB is better if you really need that much in a game or something. But they said this card was designed to break records, and no benchmark uses more than 2GBs of VRAM obviously, so, that's probably why. Plus, 2GB is still not as bad as many make it out to seem.

In the first place i said that if nvidia put more than 2gb vram the 680 lightning was perfect, and then i said, that 2gb vram isn't that enough for modern games, and that's all.

@dph314: Yes, i agree, 2gb vram is ok and all, if now i compare 2gb vram with my last card 570 which had only 1.2gb vram, for me at least it's a progress. I only hope in the future nvidia will put more vram compared to their previous graphics card generation. You know, from 1.5 on gtx580 to 2gb with the 680 isn't that a big progress, but it's ok, what can i say ?

They 2gb versions won't be nearly as fast on 20|30|20 PLP. Even 2560x1600 needs 4gb.

I know. Just saying, people using GPUs for "real-world application" such as gaming don't always look for the $600 monster. People on OCN do a lot more often obviously, but "normal" people won't be buying this card. It was made to set records. A 2GB compromise probably seemed justified since most of the time 2GB is still enough for the many people that do buy it only for gaming.

They must have just wanted to go with the best option with performance in consideration and not necessarily framerates when deciding on the 2GB (even though it's not often it's not enough). An Extreme version will come out sooner or later though offering the 4GB option possibly though.
