First Build

Like the title says this was my first build. Its primarily going to be used for gaming and graphic design work. After 10 years of elusively owning laptops, I thought it was time to come back to the land of desktops. I've taken computers apart and put them back together many times since I was real little, so the process wasn't foreign to me, but this was the first time I had assembled a computer from the ground up.

POSTing for the first time. I'm used to older RAM sockets that have moving clips on both sides of the DIMM so it took a few tries to get it seated right lol; I felt so dumb.

The almost finished build. The GFX card was out of stock so I went without one for a week.

Thanks

Also, I'm looking for a name for it. Right now I'm calling it Phoenix (because there's a giant phoenix on the front), but I'm not too crazy about the name.

This is a solid build. I love it. thumb.gif

I think you could do some work on the overclock tho, but one thing at the time?

This is at stock voltages though using ASUS's TPU auto overclocker. I know I could push it harder but for now this is plenty (upgrade from a core 2 duo @2.2GHz).

that case looks great , I am a huge nzxt switch 810 fan but thats the closest ive ever been to regretting it, that H100 does a great job you can run the fans real quiet and still get great cooling.. I like your sleeving too it looks good . great job man ,

Thanks. And in order:
I had a tough time choosing between the Level 10 GT Snow and the Switch 810 in white and while looking at endless reviews I found the Colossus... then it became Colossus vs Switch. Most of why I chose the Colossus was it struck the perfect balance of flashy and clean/simple for me.

Yeah the H100 works real nice, I leave it no medium to get those temps; at idle the case fans and GPU fans make more noise.

The sleeving is BitFenix Alchemy blue with blue connectors, they just arrived in the mail today (1-2 weeks early).

$66 and change after shipping from frozen cpu with coupon code xtreme (i think thats the code its for 5.1% off). They were the only ones who carried blue with blue connectors (everywhere else had black connectors). The shipping was supposed to be 6-12 day and they got here in 3 (including processing).
