Yesterday, after updating MalwareBytes(hopefully unrelated), I needed to restart my computer. After attempting to restart it, I haven't been able to get it to boot since. The system fans start a 100% and then eventually over about a minute die down to about 50%. There are no beeps from the system speaker. I tried resetting the CMOS. After resetting the CMOS, I was able to start booting into windows. It got as far as loading my desktop and blue screened. My motherboard is an MSI 870-G45. At first, I had no idea what component was causing the problem, but now, I'm almost certain. Someone suggested that it could be a faulty stick of ram and to try each of my sticks of ram separately in the first slot on the motherboard. I tried this, but this isn't what made me suspect about the motherboard. I tried booting with no ram whatsoever, and it gave me the same response as it had been this entire time. Normally, without ram, according to my motherboard user guide, the system speaker should beep 3 times. I don't really have a way to test any other of the components(my only computer), so I'd like to be sure that if I replace the motherboard, everything will run fine.
I'm just looking for some advice to narrow down the list of what components could have failed. Any suggestions on how I can do this? Also, I'm aware there is a way to get logs from blue screens, but to my knowledge, I would have had to set that up before this happen. As I can't replicate the blue screen, I won't be able to get these logs. Is this correct, or is there a possibility of getting a log from it?
Thanks
