But, I actually jacked up the voltages because I had been failing at 2133, and couldn't get them fully stable there unless I pumped 1.55V into them, which I didn't think was necessary. I am currently at ALL default values at 1866, other than the 9-9-9-24 timings.

Sorry for double post, but I had tried 1866, 9-9-9-24, and instantly bsoded. Perhaps my voltage had not been enough. It's good to know that it's not the ram, but the motherboard, which I can live with since I can get 4.5 ghz on my 3570k. Plus, the ram doesn't give much performance increase unless your overclock is above 4.5, which I am still trying for, haven't got it stable.

Use thaiphoon burner.

Use it to detect your dimms. Then use thaiphoon burner to see the overclocked speed from 1333 to 1600

And it will give you a good idea of the timings you will need to loosen it to. Even the secondary ones

It allowed me to go from 9-9-9-24-2T 1333mhz 1.5v to 9-9-9-20-1T 1600mhz 1.35v

And I bet I can even lower my voltage further.

I was a newbie before as well

If you have trouble overclocking.

you might want to loosen tWCL as well as the other primary timings. I found tWCL be very important. I always put it 1-2 lower than my CAS latency if possible. But never more than that.

I will give thaiphoon burner a shot, but I'm not aiming for a lowered voltage, Im looking for the highest overclock.

sometimes you have to loosen tWCL timing. It should always be tWCL = CAS - 2 or tWCL = CAS - 1
it can help a lot

You can also go by thaiphoonburner. Read spd. Then change memory frequency. And it will suggest you new timings. That worked for me.

Guys, sorry for the bump, but I've found how to get it to 2133mhz. Increase the voltage of the memory controller. Completely stable at DDR3 2133 12-14-13-28.
