Ok, got my cpu back, and the motherboard. everything looks fine pushin 54c runnin prime.

what kind of temps are you getting with those clock speeds?

pretty damn good by the way, I hit a wall with my 965 at 4.0, I think it was my board, cause even then prime 95 temps maxed out in the low 50's c. I still had some head room temp wise.

Well rooms chilly that prob helps a bit around 60-70 degrees F. idles around 30-32, with prime going temps are around 53-54c. The 2 scythe kaze 3000rpm fans help tons on the h 70, my feet freeze near the comp. Scores way better than at first too.

Dont feel bad I have the same problem. If I have my cpu/nb higher than the 10x multiplier i cant even use internet explorer. I can only keep it on the 10x multiplier and raise fsb to get higher nb, so about 2600 is as high as i can go.

Yea, the prob is trying to get it to work is a pain. I don't get a boot saying failed overclock when i restart system i have to use the clear cmos, and check memory button on the motherboard. Wouldn't be a pain if i had comp somewhere i can get to it, but its under the desk i've already sacrificed some blood to the computer gods due to fans near the button lol. I may try later today and see what happens.
