a 75g deathadder would be baller. I think that mouse is unnecessarily heavy.

Unstable polling rate is a firmware and microcontroller issue.

I don't have one, but doesn't the mouse have a dynamic DPI scaling issue now? D:

Well it is, 3G and 3.5G share the same physical tracking hardware. The sensors apart from markings should be the same differing by srom and firmware.

PTE is a good sensor (Tracking fidelity and IPS) , but it can be too sensitive for its own good.

LOD. the DA 3.5G has absolutely terrible LOD with its senso
That "problem" is solved by a mere piece of tape so pleaaaaaase, dont use a worse sensor because fo that biggrin.gif
What i did is to combine enhanced height mousefeet with tape below and a really small tapefix and now im at about 1,2 LOD (no tracking on cloth with 1cd, if i press down the moused hard i get some weak tracking).

For a few days i own both 3g and 3,5g deathadder and what can i say, i still use the 3G, i think im gonna sell the 3,5g (or send it back:D).

/this!
75g are unreal though, get it to about 90-95would be still awesome since its for palmgrip/hybrid and not pure fingertip.
Im thinking about getting my dremel and try to get my mouse to at least 100g:/

Altrough I would LOVE to have an mini-deathadder with lod low and thick feets.
Kinzuadder?smile.gif
Personally id love to get a kana-adder somehow, with the buttons from deathadder ofc and with 2buttons working.

Lift off distance shouldn't even be considered an issue. Just a side effect of LED based hardware on specific surface material and color.

The original 3G firmware likely had an insane amount of man hours put into the firmware while paired with the "right" IR LED.

By mini DeathAdder I was meant smaller shape and less than 100 grams without the cord
not gonna post about the ka tho wink.gif

For the most part, yes the 3.5G is basically the same performance wise as the old 3G sensor but with another DPI setting. for some reason the polling rate reads a lot more unstable for me in DIMR though. also, as usual, the 1800 DPI setting is the only one on both the 3G and the 3.5G sensor that allows you to achieve the full ~5 m/s maximum perfect control speed. i've never been able to make the mouse neg accel or skip on 1800 dpi no matter how hard i try. rock solid tracking if you use super low sensitivity.

I look everyday at the picture, and I want it more and more.

a little bump,
2013, and no new diamondback..
still using mine, the 3g version, the coating on the buttons is worn off in places, the reminiscences of his feet are covered in teflon tape, and i'm still waiting for something like in that picture, even with the same sensor.
and this time i would get two.

I'd really like to see Diamondback make a return, but would a 2013 one really fit in their mice selection? They already have nine mice advertised on their website, four of which are ambidextrous. And I bet Ouroboros and Taipan already give them truckloads of money, they won't add it as long as these expensive gimmick mice sell.

Lol, I saw the thread, read the title and thought: "what an idiot", than I realized... blushsmiley.gif

Yeah, a new Diamondback would be great.
