DANG. Didn't even know this thing existed. for $700 used with minor usage? Looks sweet.

Pixel density is insane, still not retina not matter how far you sit away, but close I'm sure.

I'll be jelly of you, if you do get it tongue.gif

Save the money and upgrade your rig to the best tech. Complete waste of money on a monitor when you should be spending it on getting rid of that CPU for a better one and get a couple of SSd's in there.

What would you use it for? That's a lot of pixels but if you wanted to game your system wouldn't come close to supporting it.

According to the reviews, it has a whooping 12Hz refresh rate at full resolution. So even if his PC wasn't crap, it would still suck for gaming. It's really old tech.

The IBM T220 has a refresh rate of 41hz and the IBM T221 had some revisions with a refresh rate of 48hz. Not 12hz. This is accomplished by utilizing the multiple inputs. See the wikipedia page for more info.

I would personally not recommend it for all that many things. It's not a particularly good monitor in any regard aside from resolution and pixel density. (There's been a few people here and there that we've had here that have bought these monitors) And even then, the resolution and pixel density will cause issues on programs that don't support proper DPI scaling, unless you just halve the resolution to 1920x1200, in which case you have made the whole benefit of the thing null.

You'll find better use of your money buying even a single modern high end monitor for most uses I might imagine for a monitor.
