Razer Taipan - Page 12

You mean "Marketing" wink.gif

Most important question: Can you change the color of the lights?!

I will probably abuse Amazons terms of use once again and order it just to see how it is. The shape, coating and design is very appealing to me. I can deal with a braided cord I guess, but it comes all down to the sensor. If I can't get low liftoff and as little acceleration as possible on a low dpi setting, than I guess it wont be for me.

Even though it is marketing in those reviews, they both seem to complain about the side buttons. As far as I can tell, they are fairly placed but might become a problem for people with really large hands or maybe they complained because these reviewers like 150g bricks. (With ofcourse the option to put in some extra weights)

Or I'm guessing that due to the lack of real photos they haven't even received a real testing unit and HAVE to put a little criticism into the review in order to appear trustworthy and balanced. What's better than a criticism that actually isn't one... like the side buttons on an ambidextrous mouse on the opposite side of your thumb ^^.

Because lets be honest... the reviews say absolutely nothing about the mouse that isn't already known from the specs or renderings.

That's usually how useless these reviews are tongue.gif

I saw Athene using the Taipan in his latest videos biggrin.gif
He is sponsored by razer.

It looks like it fits the hand quite well tbh.

I've gotten so used to the Sensei's LED colors so I have to ask...

Are the LED lights customizable!?!

I tried googling it but I haven't found anything about it. Apparently the newer Lachesis is able to do it, surely the Taipan will be able as well?

I haven't seen anything to advertise changing colours (that bs 16.8 million colour thing) so you'll have to stick with green tongue.gif Which looks incredibly annoying - turn that off asap
And I'd be sure Razer would wanna jump on that for marketing.

This image from one of those reviews shows lighting options though.. but maybe it's as simple as on/off lol

I would seriously doubt if you could change the green...we'd have seen something by now telling us that. As long as you can turn it off completely, it's not that big of a deal in my eyes. If you had to have it green, then it would become a bother for sure. I much prefer the Deathadder Black's aesthetics. Just an awesome looking mouse. Too bad it is slippery as hell...or else I'd just stick with it.
