I tried one of the proclaimed "best" mice, i.e. deathadder, and I felt it sucked. It was some of the worst lift off distance I have ever experienced

Liftoff distance is the LEAST important aspect of a mouse. There are many more important things that can go wrong.

I really haven't been bothered by my DA:BE's lift off distance. I thought it might be annoying, but I never even noticed it.

In contrast, the tracking is FAR better, and is a ton more comfortable to play with.

How is this Razer Taipan in comparison with the Steelseries Sensei if someone has both.
Which has better click on right and left mouse button they have both omron switches so is the click the same ?
I heard aswell that the Taipan is more for claw because of the bulk is better positioned for claw.

So i someone has both can you please tell which you prefer and why.
And the rubber sides are they good grippy and dont easily rubbs off?

But lets be honest, you aren't using it problem free. It does have acceleration issues(no way to get around that). The shape, design, quality, etc of everything but the sensor in the Taipan is very amazing in my opinion, but we can't deny that the sensor would have been far better off as a an old optical sensor over the new DPI race sensor they put in it.

I think sikkly nailed it. Another description of how it feels is a wireless mouse, even though its wired. Now I've haven't used a wireless mouse that often but thats how I would think a wireless mouse would act. Kind of disconnected. As if the mouse isn't hardwired to the mouse pointer like a wired mouse feels. If that makes sense at all. wink.gif

I've owned this mouse for a week and LOVE the shape, feel, buttons. I don't like Synapse. It makes the mouse pause when you switch DPI. I also think its the cause of the floaty/wireless mouse feel. When I turned off Synapse I didn't notice it anymore.

I've only had the mouse a week and only played WoW, so I'm not ready to toss in the towel due to it being the first mouse I liked out of a 6 or more as far as physical features.. I plan on putting it through some other games and see how it performs.

It was some of the worst lift off distance I have ever experienced, and the grip was awkward with the bulge on the right. I have no interest in ghetto rigging my mouse with scotch tape on the sensor. The minor flaws in these new sensors are hardly noticeable, to me at least. I destroyed with my PTE Mamba, and I do the same with this mouse (before Mamba I had Logitech G5, G9). People are just too anal over these minuscule issues. We would all love a "perfect" mouse, but things people do like, others don’t. Nothing is ever perfect.

Thats why I have my 2 Deathadder 3Gs with 1-2mm liftoff across 6 different mousepads biggrin.gif

Perfect mouse imo the DA 3g, shape is 100% individual however.
And It is a tad to big for me, I still like ambidextrous mice but there are like 0 good once out.

Think ill pass on Taipan sadly, to many reports on annoying things.
Im getting tired buying most new mice and ending up putting them in the box in the shelf.

Still have thoughts about a Sensei Xai however since I know how it handles and I love the xai shell best of all mice I ever had.

Other then that Ill wait for BSTs mouse.

I wonder what if BST would resurrect all the classic shapes like the wmo, io 1.1 and 3.0 but with modern improvements and lighter. He would definitely capture every gaming scene.

If that happens and BST gets known then he will become rich! Like Ikea rich ^^ Would have bought atleast 20 mice myself.

I'm still not crazy about the shape of his mice, but would still be willing to buy one and give it a try for their performance. Hopefully they will make some mouse bodies that are more to my liking. (or maybe the pictures they've released so far are just awful lol)

If you can get your hands on an old Logitech G1 or MX300, the shape of these is almost identical to BST's mouse, which is a really cool design. I only wish it was slightly longer like the Diamondback.
