It will be hard to say for sure until it is released whether or not this mouse is good. Much indicates that it might be though.

As for the sensei, I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole personally, but that is because i think native acceleration is the devil. To each his own in this regard.
If the taipan is crap I'll just stick with my Abyssus. Hell, I might stick with the abyssus even if the Taipan turns out to be great.

@ Sensei : From what I can see, the Sensei MLG version is just a rehash of the original Sensei with a replaced sensor and firmware. I don't see any benefit of the newer 9800 "improvements" either. Might be a little premature, but I would likely recommend a Vanilla Sensei unless there's a significant benefit.

PS: I might be wrong here if my assumptions of future products are correct.

@ Taipan: Too early to tell. I would like to see razers take on a 3 year old sensor design though.

I had the copperhead as my first mouse loved it, sold it later for a logitech 9x also superb mouse now playing with a sensei. But when my hands sweat the mouse coating is rubbish. So I hope this sensor is awesome and I will buy this one as my new mouse because now in the summer its annoying to game with the sensei long hours.

Man, if they sticked with an optical for this one.

Rather see a Fixed Laserstream than an outdated optical.

Is that optimism i sense?

I still think this mouse will be too heavy for being perfect for me, even if the sensor works great..

I personally dont care about laser or not.

I play just as well with a avago 9500 as I do with a "perfect" optical sensor like g400, zowie AM.

Shape is way more important for me, and feel of mouseclicks etc.

Will prolly buy this one or sensei raw rubberized.
Although I will buy bsts mouse aswell if it ever comes out biggrin.gif

I actually prefer laser over optical but cba until they can make a laser mouse that has no accell. They've already solved the issue of low perfect control speed, now it's time for a solid laser sensor without acceleration.

But if they manage to solve accell issues and those weird Z-Axis problems, I'll be all over this mouse.
