Just speaking the truth. The 3060-3090 20 pin architecture is pretty dated.

A lot seem to ignore the fact (even I did) that no one wants to put weaker paper spec sensors in their mice and technically speaking, the 16 pin 9xxx series sensors "are" capable of a lot more. (Of course, we would like no acceleration, but I do have hope for future designs. Doubt Razer has it "fixed" just yet, but it would be cool if they did)

Edit: I wrote 20 pin instead of 16 pin ;o

Yeah I see where you're coming from.

Not to de-rail this thread completely, but do you know how hard it is to fix this acceleration issue, and by that how likely it is that razer fixed it? I mean that if the problem lays with the sensor as it comes from the factory (as I understand) It would require more heavy modification a'la razers previous work with the DA etc.

The problem is likely a SROM issue overlooked. Razer likely asked Avago to make an angle snapping free SROM and the manufacturer (Avago) did their bidding.

It's possible that they could have asked for a fixed 9800 without inherit acceleration, but I'm going to "doubt" that for the time being (I have my reasons, but maybe the 2nd sensor helps in this case idk)

Wel, I need a mouse with no acceleration, low lift off, no drift control, no nothing. Just pure tracking. As far as I can see all this is found in optical sensors, but not lasers.

Technically speaking laser vs optical should have nothing to really do with the acceleration issue. The first CMOS based laser sensor was actually optical (LED BASED) by design with a VCSEL strapped onto it. (Of course max speed wasn't great, but it seems they've solved part with current VCSEL designs. 3 types to pick from iirc)

Optical hardware could actually be a bit worse for your lift off debate. (Depends on lens and how light is refracted onto the surface.. colors etc.) Don't really view that as an issue, but rather a side effect of certain LED based (Optical) setups.

Deathadder Left handed. I wanted to learn how to play left handed (Learned RH) and couldn't think of a better way as I would get frustrated with ambidextrous mice and swap back. I can game generally well both ways *troubled by keyboard and movement left wise, but have more experience on right . smile.gif To clear things up, I'm LEFT handed lol

I would be on a Sensei or CM SPAWN if I continued right handed, but I like this challenge.

Optical vs laser isn't really a debate for me (Unless you're talking about PTE vs CMOS picture based) CMOS based lasers have a similar feel to LED based designs with a few trade offs here and there.

I was referring to the old laser sensors in the G5 and Copperhead, they skipped like no tomorrow with malfunction speeds as low as 1.15 m/s in some cases.
