Razer Taipan - Page 71

1) Think of positive acceleration as such: You wish to grab a glass of water with your hand. You move the arm toward the glass, but unlike intended you do not stop when the glass is in your palm, but keep moving the arm further, pushing the glass off the table, feeling like a retard (retard = descriptive term, nothing against these people).

2) Think of negative acceleration as such: You wish to grab a glass of water with your hand. You move the arm toward the glass, but unlike intended you do not reach far enough and do not get to grab the glass at all, feeling like a f#####g idiot (f#####g idiot = descriptive term, nothing against these people).

3) Think of acceleration-less 1:1 performance as such: You move the arm lightning fast, grab the glass, drink the water. Done deal.

I prefer Nr. 3. What do you prefer?

Anyway, when is a Diamondback 2013 coming out? I'd seriously consider to buy one, despite Synapse.

[Imagine] Diamondback 2013 is a minature Taipan with blue light (just as Krait 2013 is a minature Taipan with orange light) and retains the side buttons[/imagine] biggrin.gif

I wish size was optional, lol. I can't really say how the Taipan and Krait compare, I only know that the lengh of AM and old Diamondback is perfect for me (around 12,5 cm), while the 11,6 cm of the Krait 2013 are probably fine but, not most ideal. Anyway, I'd probably go for the Krait 2013 if it had sidebuttons. No sidebuttons feels like you're a thumb amputee. As for lights, I wish Razer went back to the customizable of the Mamba and Lachesis, so people could adjust the color that fits their mood best (orange-red, there's nothing like deep orange-red).

I'd be really set with an ambidextrous 4G optical with side buttons, no matter the lights.

You can't disable its acceleration.

So is the Synapses 2.0 not the major issue that everyone was complaining about the past few weeks? I shelved my Taipan after reading those threads.

You know I forgot another major issue I had with the Taipan. Whenever I changed dpi settings there was about a second pause. Anyone else have that issue? That was the deal breaker for me. I had forgotten about it because I haven't played any fps games in a while so didn't need to change dpi. No one else have this issue?

Still I like the shape of the mouse for my smaller hands/grip style. It would be nice to have the two issues above cleared up. The CM Recon I bought has a fat butt (typical palm style) so its not as comfortable to use.
