BinZz, if you read through the rest of this forum, it has tons of threads on great mice that have very accurate sensors that suit you based on how you use the mouse. With only a minor bit of looking, you'll find every question you've asked in this thread.

This isn't one of those topics, this is about the Razer Taipan, but i'll throw out some mice for you to glance over because I'm feeling nice.

The Razer Abyssus, if used on certain mouse pads, has a great tracking, but on other mouse pads can have horrible jitter. The Deathadder is pretty much the best sensor you can get in a mouse period, if it fits you hand. The upcoming Razer Krait *should* be very nice as well(hopefully, we have yet to have a real review on one). The logitech g400 is a very nice mouse as well.

Seriously, take half an hour to look through various mouse threads on this forum. Go hit up the mouse suggestion thread, and some of the other stickies. If you don't have the time to look for half an hour, than you probably don't have the time to be using your mouse for gaming either. rolleyes.gif

Well 6 months later and my Taipan is a goner... Scroll wheel broke. Going to try to send it back to Razer to get a new one.

That's unfortunate. I've had mine since release and I haven't experienced any issues as of yet.

Man I just installed my Taipan again. Suddenly it feels much more responsive and accelfree. I mean I run it with 800 dpi now and not with 400 like before, but I don't think it's better because of that now.

The Mouse feels really good now and the newest Razer Synpase Driver is up now. The Problem I have is that this new Driver and even the previous one before don't work on my Winodows 7 64 bit system and my System is really stable and good with everything you need for gaming.

But the good thing is I still have Version 1.03.07 and over this the System downloads the current and newest Taipan Synapsedriver uploaded on the Razerservers also and this is the only Version that works on my System. I guess it has to be a well known Problem with the newer Versions of Synapse combined with the Taipan cause I have a totally regular System and I can't even open the Taipan Configuration with the last two new Versions they updated (1.06 and 1.07) cause it forces Windows to Problems.

However I still got the Driver, sad that I even couldn't use this Mouse if I wouldn't have this old Taipan Synapseversion anymore.
That's all because of this ****ty Synapsestuff.

I mean it's not bad if it's running stable, but those Problems are unacceptable and those are the new Drivers which are worse and make Problems compared to the old one I have.

But how said, the Taipan feels really direct, smooth and clean controlable as a Player used to non accel mice.

I wouldn't guarantee it's accelfree cause probably it's not because it was always a hardwarebased Problem with those Laser like the 9800, but I just mean how it feels now and it feels really good controlable with my musclememory I have from the past.

I play THE Accuary Shooter CSGO and the Taipan feels good now. Was used to mice like a Intelli 1.1 and so on.

I always liked the Taipan as the best quality Mouse in Terms of Haptic I have for my left Hand. I mean how good it's made with real Quality you feel and see. Also the internals are fully high class Omrons except the Mousewheel and the Clickfeeling is clean and responsive.

In Terms of Buildquality it's the only Mouse that can keep up with a Roccat Kone XTD from the Mice I have and know and I got many mice.

I just didn't use it fully until now because of some thoughts and Feelings about Accel and Lagproblems.

EDIT:

Seriously Guys, the Taipan feels damn clean to control now. I don't know what they changed exactly with the Updates but they changed something. Stable on 800 dpi with my 40cm per 360 degree sensivity on my Puretrak Complexity as gold.

Well to be fair I do use my scroll wheel differently than most people. I have gotten in the habit of using it to open things in new tabs and close new tabs, so I do click down on it a lot. I still don't think that should have caused it to break though. It no longer clicks when you turn the wheel. Its free so it seems like the scroll switch broke.

So, is the Avago ADNS-9818 better then Avago ADNS-9500?

Should a run to another Deathadder? Had one wants... sold.
