Razer Taipan - Page 76

I have another problem, but it might be related to whatever else too.
When I move my mouse fast the cursor just stops. But only when used on a pad (tested Razer Sphex/Steelseries 4HD). I didn't encounter this when using the mouse on the desk.
(https://www.dropbox.com/s/00wjbxeeu4oths3/2013-02-27%2018.56.31.mp4) <- this is what i mean. Anyone has ANY attempt to fix this? i really need a pad, and i need it to be a hard surface. I tried calibrating, different DPI settings as well as polling rates. It even works sometimes, but most of the time it does not. I suspect it has something to do with how I don't shut down my pc in the evening, but let it often run a full week non stop..

E: Got a scarab today, works way better now wink.gif

Hello guys! I bought the Razer Taipan about 1 week ago.. And i don't know if its the mouse that is the problem or if it is the mousepad. I'm using a QPAD Ct large with battlefield 3 Logo.. No idea if thats the problem. The mouse laggs.. Without mousepad its better tho, then i can play somewhat better. And it doesn't lagg as much as with the mousepad. i'm using the latest Razer synapse driver.. Polling rate 1000 , Dpi 800. Liftoff standard.. Calibration OFF. will i have to send the mouse in or should i buy a new mousepad?
Btw, i also tried on 2 other mousepads.. Very thin cloth mousepads. It worked even worse with them.

I don't have this problem with either my Taipan or the Ouroboros with a 9HD desk and my Razer MP.
Are you using Synapse 2.0?
My Mice only lagg when mu Cpu is loaded to 98% or higher. What are your cpu temps.
I have my polling rate set to 500, calibration unchecked, Lift off is set to default 2, sensitivity stages set to 800 1800 2800 4000 5000, do not have x -y sensitivity enabled.
I do have synapse set up to be ignored by my antivirus.

Hi there.

my beloved MX300 wasn't working working properly anymore after 10 years, so I looked for a substitution.
Between the Abyssus and the Taipan, I gave the Taipan a try. Ergonomics are perfect in my opinion. Except for the "dents" on its side (which I quickly got used to), its shape is very mx300-like. But:
I just hate the pointer behavior under the razer drivers. It feels very weird and my movements are very inprecise. I keep "overshooting" targets I want to move my pointer to. Be that menu buttons in Windows or while browsing, or worst of all while gaming. There's something going on that lacks precision. Anyway, I uninstalled the razer drivers and my "aim" is back to what I'm used to. Of course without razer's synapse, there's no way now to set up the buttons as it seems, or is there? I never use any button other than left, right, and middle. It's just that only the side buttons on the left work under windows drivers, and being a lefty, I often press them by accident, especially when lifting the mouse. Is there a way to switch buttons or disable them through a registry edit?

Also, what's the Taipan's polling rate under windows drivers?

Edit: Well, I found this nifty program called X-Mouse Button Control which let's me configure up to 5 buttons. The left side buttons are 4, and 5, so I managed to disable them. However, is there a way to configure the side buttons on the right side? I'd like to try them for back and forward in my browser.

i also had mouse lagg with this mouse to start with and random reconnect sometimes but i found a fix for it. it seems like 1000 htz is to much for alot of pc's so i turned it down to 500 htz then i never had mouse lagg/ reconnect again you might also use wrong usb port

I think this is probably something wrong with the mouse. 1000hz itself should be a problem for virtually no modern pc's. My CPU usage is less than 1% while I move my mouse around, and my PC is not even THAT fast.

Perhaps, but "wrong USB port" isn't a bad guess. When I put my Steelseries Kana (set to 1000 Hz) into the wrong USB port (one where it can only run at 500 Hz) and move its wheel downward fairly fast, it will occasionally signal the computer that the wheel has been moved up.
