Recommend A Fan Controller - No Lights

Thread Starter
Hi guys, can you recommend a legit fan controller that I don't have to have blazing LED's on? I have an Obsidian 550D, I like the clean look, and I am just looking for a fan controller that has no frills, nothing exciting, is reliable, and is capable of running multiple fans (since my mobo will be maxed out eventually) if I choose to. Thanks!

I am quite happy with my Lamptron controller. You can try either the Lamptron FC-2 or FC-8.

If you prefer a controller with sliders there are the NZXT Sentry Mesh, Fractal Design Adjust 108 or Bitfenix Hydra Pro

Fair enough. I am hoping to get them without the LED's, can you disable the lights?

Ok, if I am not mistaken the FC2 has none and the Fractal Design has LEDs that can be set on 100%, 50% or off.
The others have LEDs that I am afraid cannot be turned off without small modding.

I installed a NZXT Sentry Mesh in my dad's computer just a week or so ago and it works great. I love how it doesn't have knobs or anything on it, just slide things to adjust the speed. It also has very long wires so you can run them behind everything for nice cable management.

The Fractal Design Adjust 108 would have been my second choice but it just came out and I can't find any place that sells it yet.

I have the NZXT Sentry mesh and yes it has a white led. It isn't all that flashy though (of course you'll notice when it's pitch black). If you really don't want the led then some fiddling with pliers or solder it loose is quite easy.
Do note, the mesh is very fine, finer than most mesh out there so it won't blend in completely.

Oh ya, I forgot to mention about the LED. It's white and kind of off to the side. It's not overly bright or intrusive at all, it's not even placed in a spot where you would take notice of it.

Another minimalistic controller is the Scythe "KAZE Q", however it only allows 12W per channel, so I will stick to the previous suggestions.

Cool thanks a lot guys. The Fractal looks like the best bet, but is not available yet. Good thing I don't plan on needing it TOO soon =P
