Zenimax has launched a new teaser trailer for their upcoming Elder Scrolls Online. You will not see any in-game footage nor will you see any information in the trailer. To learn more about the game, you will need to be satisfied with testimonials -- which thankfully exist, at least.

So the “big MMO” space will likely be a three-way clash between EA, Activision/Blizzard, and now Bethesda.

I would expect that The Elder Scrolls franchise would be one of the strongest contenders against Warcraft and Star Wars. According to PC Gamer, The MMO will span the whole of Tamriel which is a departure from earlier installments which mostly flesh out a single area. The world will graphically not keep up with Skyrim yet will keep up with modern MMOs.

Skyrim already wasn't that impressive to look at and ran like crap for how it looked like... I do hope they get this game optimized, at least.
I'm also waiting to see how they'll implement TES-style gameplay in an MMORPG.

If it's anything like TERA Online, with 3 faction pvp gameplay, I'm in.

TERA has probably one of the best combat systems I've experienced in a while, the world itself is really lame though.

I honestly felt like I was playing Zelda or something, which was pretty rad.

Man I feared the day TES series would come to this. Does anyone know if this is what they will focus on now, as in MMORPGS or online games now? Will they stop making future TES games that use the singleplayer story method? And yea what was with skyrim graphically speaking? I swear oblivion looks so much better than skyrim and its so old.

Yeah, there's nothing immersive about mediocre graphics, an overcrowded hud and people screaming noob and acting all elitist. Although i do think Skyrim and Oblivion were fair contenders to be TES games, Oblivion especially.

However, an Elder Scrolls MMO is a big mistake.

multiplayer tes would be nice but in co op form lol not mmorpg, will this float or sink,

and to the people saying oblivion had better graphics doh.gif no... just no i have both running max on my rig and skyrim looks better by far

The most dissapointing thing about MMO's (aside from the fact that they're now dominating the market) is they're too afraid to innovate. The WoW model was so succesful, that they generally feel they need to mimic all the core concepts of it to have their game work, and it's absolutely not the case. All my hope now lies in GW2..

So stupid.., If they want to make an amazing mmo, They need to go all out with design! It's all or nothing.

Thier entire companies investment would need to be put full force into this mmo, and all Thier money, if they want to succeed.
