E6300. Help Me Achieve 400FSB!

Thread Starter
whenever i try hit 400FSB, it boots with nothing on screen.

these are my settings right now...

CPU Frequency: 375FSB
Dram Frequency: DDR2-750Mhz
PCI Express: 101
PCI Clock Sync Mode: 33.3Mhz
Speed Spectrum: DISABLED
Memory Voltage: 2.25V
CPU Vcore: 1.375V
FSB Termination Voltage: 1.400V
NB Vcore: 1.45V
SB Vcore(SATA,PCIE): Auto
ICH Chipset Voltage: Auto

my rams are Corsair DDR2 XMS2 5300 667, when at 375FSB i cannot boot with Memory Voltage any less than 2.25V. is 2.25V too high?

Temps are 43C idle and 54C 100% load on both cores using TAT.

what else can i do to achieve 400FSB?!?!

I know it's a pain, but you might want to try the 0711 BIOS.

Your RAM timings are set the same as mine, and that was an issue. I wonder if loosening them a bit would help.

Perhaps locking the RAM at a slightly slower speed might help.

Hmmm... what kind of "prblems"? I am not doubting in any way, shape or form: just want to know what you ran into. That BIOS solved all of my issues.

As far as NB voltage (as well as other voltages) goes, I would try other options prior to upping the value(s). That is not to say that this would not be the solution, but trying to get a stable system with the least amount of current and therefore heat is prudent.

Wow! That is a bummer

I had the power-on-pause issue until I re-flashed to the 0711.

There are a lot of members that are head-and-shoulders above me insofar as knowledge and experience. Hopefully they will pipe-up and throw their wisdom in. I would only be reduced to conjecture and speculation at this point, sorry.

Guru's, you know who you are and you helped me attain awesome results... howz about an encore for laziboi?

Hmm, I'm running PC5300 RAM and by giving them 2.1v, 5-5-5-15 and 1:1 ratio enabled me to get to 440 on the FSB...

That said I'm not entirely sure what's causing your issues :\\

woohoo problem solved!! i set the timings 5-5-5-15 1:1 ratio @ 2.25V and it booted fine. currently at 401FSB@1.325V now! temps are 37C idle 50C 100% load on TAT. will i be able to push it more? im just worried about the 2.25V for the memory, i dont even know whats the stock voltage on these rams so is 2.25V too high?

at 375FSB i dont get the double restart but at 401FSB i get the double restart. wierd!
