Thread Starter
I built an HTPC AsRock A75m-itx motherboard amd a6 3500 apu 8gb corsair vengeance 1600 Ram I can install Windows Vista and 7 32 or 64bit but am unable to install Linux Ubuntu.I managed to install Linux Mint but when it rebooted the system just hangs and will not load. So far Ive updated the BIOS to the latest. I've tried different DVD drives and different Hard drives. Has anyone had a similar problem?

Have you tried re-downloading? Maybe you've got a bad image try downloading it again. Also, have you tried booting into safe mode to see if there are some drivers that need updated?

A late reply... but I am running ubuntu on that motherboard. How you do it is put the OS on a USB drive and hit F11 on boot up. There should be two USB options, choose the one with UEFI in it. From there it runs just fine for me and after install it boots from the selection "Ubuntu" in my case.
