CPU overvoltage error above 1.55v

I am running water cooling but I dont think many people with water cooling have gone above 1.5v so I am asking here.

I am using bare die and my temps are very good, I max out at around 72c at 1.55v but I need to go higher I dont think its even stable for 4.8, my goal is 5Ghz minimum.

My problem is when I go above 1.55 my computer wont boot I get CPU overvoltage error, how do I bypass this?

3770K HT off.

P8Z77-V Deluxe 1015 bios.

Digi+ on Extreme.
LLC very high and extreme. medium or lower is not working at all.


BTW I know this is very high voltage for daily use but the CPU just need to last until Haswell and temps are good.

I dont run any stressfull programs, just game mostly and I think it wont go past 75% load due to how games are optimized. (GW2 is very very CPU intensive at times.)

Do you want the message to go away? Go into Bios and adjust the parameter that triggers the warning or used Asus Probe and set the max vcore to a higher value

Apparently Ivy doesnt get much if any degredation at 1.9v its stronger than sandy, so as long as temps are good I am happy.

F1?

Yes I want that warning to go away, do you know which setting it is?

I already did on the stock heatsink, I couldnt boot past 1.8v, it was just out of curiosity.

I havent heard of any IB dieing yet?? Killing this CPU isnt something I want to avoid, its really below average.

If it can run 5Ghz I will keep it.

There's an option in the bios for "halt on F1 error" Turn it off.

There's an option for "extreme over voltage" Turn it on.

Okay the reason I am 5Ghz-or-bust is, I am trying to justify a couple of things here, 1stly choosing ivy bridge over SB-E and disabling 2 cores. And 2ndly delidding my CPU for a 10-20c temp drop.

At 1.56v I am at 75 degrees max core. The Max temp for the CPU is 105c.
