Either way I checked with Galaxy, and the card uses two 8pin power connectors and has a dual bios. I'll let you know about voltage. They did say, while not wanting to comment about overclocking, that it uses a different chip and has voltage control. That doesn't necessary mean unlocked voltage though.
I'll post a video review as soon it arrives.

Thanks man, looking forward to your impressions on the card

I actually got one too. Was eyeballing it hard when I saw it secretly appear on amazon especially for that price but I was not ready to jump onboard the 680 train. Had a ref 670 that I sold to replace the uglyness with a full pcb version, aimed mostly towards the gigabyte wf and galaxy gc 670's but the prices jumped last minute so I said screw it. Got it for a steal on Amazon. It will be here Monday I can't wait. The white pcb will look good in my white haf x

As per newegg review:
"Pros: Per description should be 1267 Mhz on boost. I'm hitting 1320 Mhz out of box without any additional OC'ing. I can only imagine how much higher i can push it. No other card out there is able to even touch that on manufacturers OC. White sets it apart.

Cons: Runs at 79*C under 10-15 minutes of full load, although fans were only at ~50% not sure how high it will go up after a extensive gaming/testing session. Fans are very loud at 60%-100%.

Other Thoughts: Having played around with this card for only couple days i'm blown away be the level of OC and the speeds that this card can reach. It's definitively a cherry picked gpu. Visually not much to look at, a white board and 3 huge fans. Can be a bit loud. 3 Mini-HDMI connectors on the back but no normal HDMI one, comes with a connector thought"

I got mine today. Sadly, I am bummed that I have a really poor performer. On top of that it gets RSOD, so I have to RMA it. Here is what I wrote on Newegg:

Pros: I just received this card, and here are my pro's and cons of this card:

+Looks good, and has LED engraved lighting on side +3 fans keep the card idling at 36c +Packaging and adapters plenty +Stock core clock of 1201MHz +Boosts stock at 1280MHz +White PCB

Cons: -Poor overclock. -Card crashes in Heaven and 3DMark11 with anything above +40MHz core clock, and +150 Memory overclocking. Max stable OC 1320MHz. -Extremely loud above 50% fan speed. Unbearable at over 70%. -No voltage control, unless you purchase a Galaxy OC Panel (which you can't buy anywhere) -RSOD (RED SCREEN OF DEATH) several times during BF3, and using GPU-Z. -Back panel requires two adapters on top of the DVI, making it very flimsy, and possibly damaging the DVI port.

Other Thoughts: For this kind of money I expected far better overclocking, and performance let alone a card I have to RMA. I sent an email to Galaxy last week asking where I can purchase the OC panel and I have yet to hear from them. Their website is TERRIBLY slow too.

I ordered 2 of these last night... I was up till 4AM choosing to either buy these or wait for the 680 lightnings....

After reading how the lightning 7970's were not much better clocking than the other 7970's on offering and seeing that the 7970 lightning was still $599 and thinkig that would make the 680 lightning at lease $620 and that single good review on NE for this Galaxy 680 I decided to just go with the Galaxy.

Upon getting up today and checking NE I seeing the 7970 lightning reduced to $579 (which could indicate MSI planning to release the 680 lightning at the $599 price point and seeing the new reviews for the Galaxy 680 on new egg, including the one in the post above mine. I am REALLY considering to just refuse the package and wait for the lightning 680's ... I mean with bairly and OC headroom on the GPU and potentially poor memory OC potential (which is a BIG DEAL for these keplers as you get closer to 1400mhz core you are more and more bandwidth limited).

So should I just refuse the packages or should I try em out? I have NO problem RMA'ing if they are defective as in red screens and such as NE has been great to me with RMA's ... though I wonder with the exchange only return policy with these cards whether they can give me store credit to be used later when the lightnings arrive should I accept them and find them to be defective... or just take a 15% hit for an openbox return if they are bad at overclocking....... Or refuse and wait for the lightnings and I guess the classifieds and pick and choose...??? (perhaps the memory voltage control on the lightnings can yield some better Memory OC's)

any and all suggestions or ways to frame these choices are welcome!!!
Also are you guys (if more than one) who are here and have done the RMA for these cards just gonna get new ones? or are you changing your card choices?

thanks .... I should have till tuesday till delivery of the cards smile.gif

Oh and I have also tried with Galaxy support in regards to the OC Panel and dual BIOS , voltage etc... with NO response from the email and the guy on the phone knew NOTHING ... in this respect dealing with EVGA is a dream LOL ...

A few last questions to those who have/had this card...
was there a DUAL BIOS?
did you confirm the presence of the jack on the side of the card for the OC Panel?
How did you try and manipulate the voltages? did you try Galaxy's software? was there any relevant OC software included on the CD itself?

COME ON ALL I WANT IS A CARD THAT DOES 1400mhz core and 6800 - 7000 mem , and I am willing to pay for it LOL , is that too much to ask !!! LOL
