Galaxy 680 Hall of Fame edition in stock on Newegg? - Page 21

The 680 Lightning is available on NE now, but a bit much at $608 shipped. Now we play the waiting game to see if that one has unlocked voltages... And if it works via software through Afterburner, I'm going to have to flash to the Lightning bios.

I spoke to Andrew at Galaxy, and he said the SOC will auto switch to the back up bios if something is wrong or won't boot up.

With all the reviews on the Lightning, including Guru using the same timed release of Afterburner 2.2.2 that said it would increase this and that, it was still locked to 1.175. But there is another update to Afterburner supposedly coming. I tried using 2.2.2 and it did nothing but put the power target in the slider area. 2.2.whatever hurry up :/ also the Lightning BIOS is out if you would like to try it and let me know if you can at least touch the memory that Galaxy said could take some more volts.

Yeah, Andrew said the SOC has adjustable memory voltage. I didn't see it in XTP. Also what else does the Lightning BIOS do except change memory and core speeds? I mean if it just lowers mine from 1201/1267 to 1110/1167MHz then I can't gain anything, unless it unlocks voltage on the SOC ising AB 2.2.3, or whatever.

I'll only use it as a last resort should that BIOS be exclusive for 2.2.3 for voltage range increase. But I'd have it fabbed to keep my clocks because like you said I like where mine are as well. People lol when they only pay attention to the +45 I use. Oh I forgot to update it but I broke my P score and graphics goal the other day. Goals were P11,500 and 12K graphics. http://3dmark.com/3dm11/3699625

That's great! I scored a 11699 on older drivers, and capped at 1300MHz. I ran a 11690 last night on a GB 680@1250MHz, so no doubt I'll break 12000 graphics score once I receive my replacement Tuesday. Can't wait! I love how the base smokes the Classified and Lighting, lol. Such a underrated card.
