My new Venice 3500+ O/C - Page 3

post #21 of 24
3500+ takes quite a bit of voltage to keep it at 2.5 Ghz. what i'm telling you is that due to your certain circumstances you might just need to accept the fact that you don't have enough to hit 2.5 and keep it around 2.4 GHz.

i have hacked w/ my 3500+ just as much as anyone else on this site. spent a full month of not playing video games or anything besides clocking and benchmarking and superpi and prime and more and more. bottom line is if your chip is unstable and you can't jack up your vcore more, then you're stuck. can't go any higher.

kk thx...i was think that myself...imma just use AI Overclocker again i guess..to put it up to 2.420 AI overclocker OC's 10%...just thought i'd be able to do it manually

eh, you dont want to use a program to overclock with. Do it in the bios.

My settings are
volts 1.5
ram volts 2.8
ram = 266 but when oc'd its running at 203 mhz or 406ddr
FSB = 300
multi = 9
HTT = 3
chipset voltage 1.7

im playing with various configs

another config that i was using is this

volts 1.5
ram volts 2.8
ram 333 = 430 mhz
fsb = 260
multi 10.5
HTT 4x
chipset 1.7

im still doing benches between the two to see which one works better.
