Troubleshooting Mouse (solved+Mouspad suggestions?) - Page 3

So, have you figured out that you actually need all that DPI? Most higher DPI steps are "interpollated" anyways, which gives even worse tracking.
I would settle for >>>>>6/11<<<<< and a lower DPI.

They both have the same model sensor? s
Philips Twin Eye it is on both, yes.

prefer my DPI to hover at least around 3500 as I don't like having to move my mouse all over the pad to get my cursor to the other side of the screen.
At 1800dpi you have to move your mouse 5cm to reach the other side of the fullHD screen, thats done without moving the arm simply by moving the wrist.

You tell us you use 5600dpi with 3/10, that should be the same "speed" as 3500dpi on 6/10(1::1 pixel/movement) or even less.

I still have 25 days to return my mouse to the store for a full refund if I have to and I have a two year warranty on this mouse. If I have to return it is there a mouse anybody recommends for me to try?
Id say return it.
You bought 2mice with laser sensor with acceleration, if you dont care about gaming performance the G500is a mouse for you. The ADNS-S9500 has positive acceleration, but for mmo-stuff and desktop its an awesome mouse with a lot of buttons and high e-peen (dpi). The G9x is about the same but more expensive and different shape.
Thats about the same performance you get with the mice you bought for half the price.

If 3500dpi are enough(they SHOULD be unless as i said earlier you have 3monitor each 2592×1944 setup you can choose one of those for best performance:
-Deathadder 3,5g
-Abyssus
-G400
-Spawn

PTE dosn't have cursor acceleration.

As far as cursor performance at higher CPI, the 9500/9800 or PTE will provide better stability assuming higher polling rate. DA/Abys 3.5G might be close as I feel a little smoothing applied.

I removed the drivers and software for my old RAT5 and now the cursor isn't moving by itself all the time and 6/11 @ 3500DPI works perfect now. biggrin.gif

Thanks for the suggestions guys. thumb.gif

Edit:
I am still seeing the cursor move by itself every now and again but it's rare to the point where it's not much of an issue anymore. It seems like the movement isn't actually involuntary entirely, If I barely touch the mouse it moves a centimeter or two. tongue.gif

Like I said earlier I suppose I just have to get used to a Higher DPI and this just comes with the territory, I appreciate everybody who posted in response to this issue and putting up with my noobishness. rolleyes.gif

Ok so Newegg doesn't have any Steel series hard surface mouse pads, I am reluctant to order anywhere unless I have to. So what I need is some suggestions on hard surface mouse pads. Thanks in advance. thumb.gif

EDIT:
I looked at the razer scarab and ironclad and heard various reports about longevity of the pads and detriments to the mouse used. The ironclad seems to have trouble with the surface being rubbed off after awhile and the Scarab apparently ruins the Teflon feet on the mouse being used.

Here, I bring you the Steelseries 4HD.

Btw, look into the Icemat or also called the Steelseries I-2 or 1 (depends on size)

It's glass, so it's going to last a long time, unless you try to smash it with another glass mousepad or something. They're pretty tough

Hmm, I won't order from amazon because I've heard so many horror stories about their service however I will order from FrozenCPU as I have gotten things from them before. I visited their accessories page and found this gem:
