Wii Wont Connect to intel My Wifi Laptop

Hey everyone i have been trying this for a while now with no luck i'm trying to connect my Wii to my intel My Wifi which is my Laptop so i can use the internet with it the intel my wifi works with other devices just not my Wii for some reason i search for an access point it finds it i put all the keys and settings and then when it try's to connect i look at my laptop to see if its trying to connect and it doesn't show as the program intel My Wifi shows if a device is trying to connect or is connected thanks for any help with this. thumb.gif

I don't know if this would be considered a dead thread, but no one responded yet and you need some help (if not fixed yet), so I'm going to try to help you out.

First, is your Wii even compatible with your laptop? I remember that my old router was not compatible with the Wii and got a new router to replace the crappy old one I had.

Second make sure everything is setup on your computer correctly. If the above isn't the problem, it is most likely a problem with the setting on your computer.

wow thanks for the help i thought noone was going to biggrin.gif , ok so here is what happens i try to connect it using Virtual Router Manager and scans and finds it but doesn't Connect but other devices have worked so im not sure what could be stopping it ?

Is there a firewall on your "virtual router"? The reason I couldn't use my old router was because the Wii couldn't work with the firewall.

no i have tried turning the firewall off but i think im going to just try wired as i have a wired connection if that works Great ^_^
