thegh0sts, I get 1150 and 1202 max boost out of the box...with OC temps idle is 26-33 and load tops out at 65 but I have my fan profile to run at 75% at that temp so it's pretty noisy IMO
all the core clock values mentioned above are the max boost frequency shown in Precision X v3.0.3...which is what it runs it 99.9% of the time in Heaven 3.0

@thegh0sts, I concur 100% with the above assessment based on my experiences with the FTW. Unless you get a gonzo card the idle temps on the EVGA are fine - under load should be the main concern. If you don't mind hairdryer/turbine ruckus the FTW will keep your card right on the razor's edge OC'd (it was 69C on the dot for me). But it's loud as hell, unacceptably so for a card this expensive. Also, out of three samples I "tested" not one was able to run stable over 1270MHz with any Memory Clock bump; best artifact-free result in Heaven was 52.0 fps/1310 pts/countless dBs. I found dropping the fan speed even slightly couldn't cool the card well enough to stay below the 70C threshold so you're essentially stuck on full blast unless you just want the card to clock down automatically for funsies. Again, if volume is no concern then you'll be satisfied with the FTW. Or any card, probably. I'm still waiting for my refund to process so I can't compare these results with the performance of another model just yet, but I would recommend you seriously consider purchasing a unit not hindered by the reference cooling solution. I hope these observations will help you make an informed decision.

Oh I am so torn on this thread. I'm probably more than likely going to return my ASus DCII tomorrow for a failed RMA attempt with Asus. I'm so torn between the Gigabyte and the FTW. The FTW looks better for the black PCB but the Gigabyte has that extra 3 VRMs and extra phase. But these stats are pretty good, telling me the FTW is the outright winner so far.

The FTW is on sale right now too which is pretty good. Plus the FTW has an optional backplate that would be great to have once I put my modded WC on it....

wow ok i am almost shocked there is not a 1400Mhz score for a liquid cooled card my Gigabyte GTX 670 OC 2GB on MSI Afterburner has recorded a max clock of 1380 on the core

Based on what I've seen, it's a toss-up between the Gigabyte 670 & EVGA 670 FTW. I'd give the edge to the Gigabyte 670 by a hair not to mention it is equipped with arguably the best cooling solution - Gigabyte Windforce

But I wonder how many of these overclocks are realistically functional meaning completely stable in-game. An overclock is useless if it puts up 11,000 points in 3DMark11 but falters in a game of Battlefield 3

I'm suspecting that realistically some of these overclocks are lower

yeh i believe most these clocks of 1280+ would be only 3d mark 11 or heaven stable not game stable i must admit before the newer driver ( not beta ) i had some tearing and artifacting in diablo 3 though the newer signed driver has fixed that issue at first also it hated using both onboard and gpu for that game but is now ok lol so many things can glitch out or go wrong its hard to say what the actual prob was

My 1310 Core clock is stable in everything except for Farcry 3 where i have to drop it back 20Hz buggered if I know whats different about that game. At 1310 after 2 hours of gameplay I get a crash. Only game that does it at that clock very strange.

Mostly because it's not a temp limitation. My cards never go above 45 but I can't hit 1400 because of volts. Well stable anyways, lol. Can boot in windows and screw around well over 1400.
