My EVGA FTW OC is 1253 Max Boost and 1815 (3629) on the memory! Haven't seen temps go over 65C with the fan at ~60-70% average playing BF3 @ 1080P Ultra Preset. I can't hear my fan unless it hits 70% (rare, and it's been hot) and even then my Kuhler 920 CPU loop is still louder. Love it! biggrin.gif

If airflow is a concern, the blower style exhaust of the EVGA card may be better. From my observations, I'd go into it with the expectation that both cards will have similar overclocking potential, so it really boils down to luck on that front. On the Gigabyte card, and in typical bell curve fashion, there are a few outstanding OCers (glares at brettjv), a bunch of average ones (my card falls into this camp at 1,250 max), and a few duds.
One thing I will say about the Gigabyte card though, is that it does it's excellent job of cooling VERY quietly. I don't think any reviews of the the FTW are out yet, but based on the blower design, I feel like the EVGA card would show higher dbA from the fan at equal temperature levels. That's just me speculating though and I could be very wrong.
Is the FTW worth the price premium? I say yes, simply due to the excellent product support. If either card has a problem a year from now, there's little doubt that you'd get top notch treatment from EVGA making the price premium worth it. Think of it as buying a bit of insurance.
I chose the Gigabyte card on release day because it appeared to be the clear winner at the time. Today, I would probably still choose it over the other variants assuming it was in stock. I'm that happy with it.

Thanks for your response dude, in terms of my case i have a CM Storm Trooper so im pretty sure its got good airflow through it. I've never had a blower style fan but i think the standard fans work reasonably well. I think i'll have to see whether prices fluctuate anymore before i make my decision, and also want to see more seults on the EVGA lottery! but for me i think GB is the way to go.

In regards to everything else you said, theres no doubt that EVGA has the best service. I'd like to see some FTW reviews as well!

Rubix, with as often as I see people around here relying on GPU-Z to tell them their OC instead of actually checking in the graphs in Afterburner/Precision, I think an instruction in the OP is in order, personally. Your results could easily get skewed downward by people making this mistake thumb.gif

No problem. It's interesting though. Since making my post, I have a MSI GTX 670 PE on it's way to me. I'm not totally sure why, as I really like the Gigabyte card as I stated. I think the unknowns about the voltage adjustment got the best of me. That said, I'm actually doubtful that we'll truly be able to increase the voltage.

Thanks Brett smile.gif note taken, shall i get people to post an image of their overclock including, image of a stable clock graph in precision/afterburner; as well as a notepad stating: name, graphics card and overclock results?
