YES got the order through. $699.99 for the Sleekbook + Xbox 360. Probably going to sell the 360 so I'm really only paying a little more than $500 for this thing.

Hot damn thats a sweet deal...

Also: HP has their customizable 15-inch pavilion up. And that one can be ordered with the 1920x1080 matte TN panel. And the additional discrete card. But since the asymmetric crossfire kinda sucks... It would be both a waste to get it and a waste not to.

Im no expert, but im curious as to why would that crossfire suck. Isn't it suppose to give you better performance n what not?

The crossfire for llano was pretty bad. It only worked well in some games and sometimes it was worst than just running one GPU. I'm hoping that AMD has improved it but we have yet to see reviews on trinity with dual graphics.

Is it worth getting the A8 + the discrete graphics or would the A10 be better?

you havent given us much to go on....depends what your discrete is...

maybe this will help you (assuming you are looking at the 35W parts):

A10

http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-Radeon-HD-7660G.69830.0.html

A8

http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-Radeon-HD-7640G.69836.0.html

you can find some comparisons with discrete in there, but I dont think there have been any reviews with crossfire. I imagine that a8 discrete will be more powerful overall, but will use more battery.

Sorry for not giving enough info,I was looking at the DV6z-7000. HP gives you the option of the 2GB HD7330M or the 1GB 7670M.
Looking at past posts,it seems that the A8's GPU is only marginally better than the Llano A8 GPU. My concern is that adding crossfire may make it worse.

Nice, just checked it out. If you can afford it, you definitely want to pick up a 7730M (+$75)

http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-Radeon-HD-7730M.72678.0.html

Its a 28nm part with the latest GCN architecture. There are no performance numbers yet (hasnt been reviewed) but it will be better than both the A8/A10s integrated GPU and the 7670M (with or without crossfire), which are all based on older generation architecture.

On the other hand the CPU perf between the A8-A10 is marginal. if you need to save money go for the A8 + 7730M, you wont be dissapointed in terms of performance.
