S23700D OR XL2420T?
Glossy Screen = S23A700D or 750D
Amazing Colors = S23A700D or 750D
Very Thin Panel = S23A700D or 750D

Matted Screen = XL2420T
Amazing 3D features/performance = XL2420T
Great Height/Tint Adjustment = XL2420T

I personally like the S23A700D or S23A750D..the glossy screen and colors are amazing for 2D 120hz gaming. I personally feel like it improves image quality. Also, I don't and will never use 3D.

However, if you have a lot of windows in the room or you plan to use 3D features get the BenQ XL2420T for sure.

Chance of back-lighting and QA issues on both monitors seem random/standard...lottery my friend, lottery.

I wish i could find the samsungs locally to try out before ordering and having to deal with sending them back if I dont like it. They are not made anymore by samsung so most places locally are sold out for good. The 950 series sucks because of that horrible intergrated stand and the fact that the design causes warping in the lower right corner. Many have RMA's them because of it and the pixels in that area are damaged. Also Samsungs customer service is awful and most people said that their monitors came back worse than before. THe only ones to get would be the 700 series ones with the traditional style stands but they do not have VESA mounts and you can make something fit with some work but I have no idea how, I just know people have done it.

The good thing about the 700d is that is uses DVI-D and not DP which can be an issue for some. The 750d has only HDMI and DP connection.

And if you want a screen quite similar to the S23A700D without worrying about the uniformity issues the S23A700D occasionally has and want VESA mounting ability, there's always the asus VG236HE (or VG236H depending on if you're planning on using the 3D). It's not quite as fast as the S23A700D, but it's still better in that regard than the XL2420T. It's just as good.

I'd recommend the S23A700D or the VG236HE if you can stand glossy.

in my place we have both of them the samsung is 350us and benq is 475us

well now that I have had both monitorssince I just picked up a 23a750d yesterday I can say without a doubt I like the Samy much better. the colors and the glossy screen are great for me. Makes games look awesome. I have not had any issue with reflection but I only have over head lights. I suppose if you had a floor lamp placed in front of the screen in the room it would reflect pretty bad, but all you have to do is turn that off and also draw the shades for the windows to reduce that as well. The 3D is ok but I did not notice that the BenQ was any better. 3D is still a marketing ploy that just does not work well with a lot of movies ot games. My 3D samsung TV is the same way. some movies look ok and others have terrible ghosting jus like both monitors I have tried.
