Nah, it controls the fans "ok" for a program. There isn't a "set your rpm" slider though, they're target temps and rpm, which means that if temps allow it, it spins at that rpm. And it doesn't work as well as (I think) it should.

Have you tried updating your BIOS to the latest, or waiting for a new revision?

My PRO3-M came with those settings; but with a flash to 2.1 rev BIOS I had a custom setting for the CPU fan which, in a way is still "set it there and it spins at that speed at your given temperature" but it allows you a range of 0-255.

You talking about the bios itself..? 'Cause I'm talking about AXTU biggrin.gif
I may have had a bit unrealistic expectations on software fan controlling though. Think I'll have to mess with 'em a bit more when I have some time. A win7 "gadget" with sliders for fans would be awesome....

Okay, I've actually got an update!
I've been playing a nanny for a few days and got some more parts as a payment. My case will also change (sorry Axipher!) as I've got some plan(s) that kinda require(s) more space... The goodies are ordered and will hopefully get here before the weekend since I'll be drinking, travelling and drinking while traveling for a few days (starts on saturday). I might also borrow some parts from the Core1000, I've got a few ideas I need to think about.

I've been so unbelievably lazy that I haven't taken pics of the rig, but I switched from Core1000 to Arc Mini. Will see if I'll get some pics of it when I get all the mods done. More on those later...
Posted this on the Fractal Design club, but here's what's going on with my Arc Mini atm:

The Core1000 is an awesome small case, but I switched to Arc because I'm planning on doing a few things that I couldn't have done with the Core1000 due to its small size. The Core-series is kinda aimed at a more budget-oriented market whereas the Arc-series has airflow and the Define-series has noise dampening. But as I said, the Core 1000 is a great case and if you want to see what kind of stuff can be done to it, search for Axipher's Maple Leaf -project! thumb.gif

Cheers biggrin.gif Not much to read yet'cause of me being lazy and not logging everything. You can actually see almost all the new stuff on the pic I posted earlier though: 2x Bitfenix Spectre Pro's (white led), Bitfenix Hydra Pro and some modding. I've also put some noise dampening material on the side panel and roof, but I'll take pics when I strip the case down some more for paint.

The Core1000 is many things to many people, it just requires a little more imagination then most cases.  Recently at the OCN LAN a few members brought up some good points, DazMode himself too.  It was a general consensus that water-cooling in a large case looks nice, but is actually pretty simple, when you get in to mATX territory, that's where the true water-cooling challenges propagate themselves and imagination becomes a requirement.

Riiiiight! Update! There's a lot of pics (14 to be exact) so I hope it loads fine. I did downscale them quite a bit since I took 'em with a DSLR.

So, I got her finished for now. I must say that it was a handful but it came out good, so I guess it was worth the pain biggrin.gif

After lots of drilling, finally had a plate for 2x 120mm fans that actually fit the front. Painted it with matt black.
10474571.jpg

Mounting it on the front proved to be a lot easier than what I had prepared for.
10474572.jpg

There just happens to be 8 holes on the front of the case that seem to have perfect threads for the ODD bay thumbscrews. So all it took was the excess ODD bay thumbscrews and holes that matched the ones on the front of the case.
10474573.jpg

Wiring done! (I did end up taking the empty trays out)
10474574.jpg
10474637.jpg

I blocked the top mesh with noise dampening material since I dont have any fans there.
10474575.jpg

And some on the side panel too. It's not pretty, but it seems to work just fine.
10474642.jpg

Painted the expansion slot brackets too. In the background, you may or may not see the shirt of the best football player in the world wubsmiley.gif(or at least my favourite player)
10474639.jpg

The top mesh
10474645.jpg

The front panel. There's a DIY pantyhose-filter between the mesh and panel, but you can't really see it from the pic. So much better than the stock foam filter.
10474648.jpg

What's this called, 3/4 view?
10474689.jpg

Front shot!
10474690.jpg

All up and running, seems to be working fine biggrin.gif
10474691.jpg

The leds on Bitfenix Spectre Pros are actually very nice pure white, but my Super Flower's led fan gives it a blue tint it wouldn't normally have. I may end up rotating the PSU to suck from the bottom.

Nice, do you stretch it a lot or not ?

Love the orange BTW. thumb.gif
