Another Faulty Antec Kuhler Pump (With Video)

Yes I just Received another Faulty Antec Kuhler! biggrin.gif

This is my 4th Kuhler, That right! It just arrived in the mail today, and guess what? it also has a faulty pump with imbalanced internals. Its not air bubbles, I shook the hell out of its radiator, had it plugged in for hours now, nope didn't help.

My friend still has his Kuhler that is wispier quite. Heck my 3rd replacement even worked for a monh or so before starting the noise. I dont understand is it my bad luck(4 times?) or is it just some weird sudden fall in quality control?

My previous post http://www.overclock.net/t/990111/antec-k-hler-h2o-620-920-club/1920#post_17413371
- Oh Antec, How I so want to strangle you with your Kuhler Tubes. biggrin.gif

I am on my 3rd Kuhler 620 and this thing has started making the ghey rattling and grinding noise like a concord is passing my window!! wth.gif
The thing is audible over all my fans and I am well over two feet away from my computer. My H70 in the past two years of service has never made such rattle.
What the hell is up with antec and their quality control? there are so many people online with this same retarded impaler shaft rattling noise problem that its ridiculous

I have Had it with Antec.
I have already spent over $20 shipping the last two units back and forth.
Not buying another Antec Kuhler again, never recommending it to anybody either. not until Antec has better products that dont make noise!!!
its a Shame because the Kuhler was a really nice cooler, too bad quite operation is considered lucky if you buy these units. mad.gif

You sir, have insanely terrible luck, or something else is causing that noise.

I think Its not bad luck but a bad batch biggrin.gif I have been pretty 'lucky' over the years tho rolleyes.gif

It just cant be, I just plugged in my friends 620 and there is NO such noise!! oneeyedsmiley.png
I am plugging them in with a 3Pin to Molex converter. My H70 works fine, Friends Kuhler 620 (1 year old) works fine.
Definitely not my luck but something inside the pump. tongue.gif

It can't be, I bought mine about 2 months ago, and mine has no issues (then again, it's probably from a different batch), but they should have heard that noise while it was tested in the factory.

Dang that is LOUD. I RMA'd my first one too, when the replacement arrived it made the same noise but just little bit less noisy.
Made the ticking sound even though I ran it on its side for hours, shaking(no, I did not do it gently) and tapping on the pump. I was too lazy to do another RMA, I mounted it and the noise was gone.

They haven't done anything about this issue and kept on shipping the same design and high rate of ticking pumps.

They should have given you a free upgrade to a 920 or something to compensate for all the head ache they gave you.

Interesting...I just bought one a few weeks ago from the Canadian NCIX Warehouse sale for $25 and it has the 2011 support but it isn't noisy even open-boxed...my H60 is nosier than the 620 I got. :/

Must really be bad luck. :/

Pump is "cavitating" as it's called in the pump industry - either due to air bubbles in the pump, or a bad pump. I can almost promise that you haven't gotten 4 bad pumps in a row, and now I'm not denying that something sounds wrong with that pump.. Any pump (with few exceptions) will make a noise like rocks are inside of it if it is not completely filled with liquid and void of air. I suggest flipping the radiator for starters, to ensure a steady supply of water is at both the inlet, and outlet of the pump - make sure the hoses are coming out the bottom of the radiator, not the top like in your video.. Also run the pump for five minutes without messing with it and shaking it about for a few minutes - noise should really only be heard while the system works out the initial few air bubbles until they find a place inside of the radiator to sit for a while - Operation should be nearly silent after that.
