[VC] AMD Radeon 8000 Series Found in Beta Catalyst Drivers - Page 16

Well, when the moment comes I'll analyze to jump from the 5770 to 7970 or 8xxx....

But it really doesn't matter in my country because of the restrictions to importations, taxes over electric/electronic products, and taxes over purchases in dollars made in other countries...

THIS! I see One (Two, i'm buying more monitors) reason to upgrade, and that's not because my cards lag, they don't, just that i like having the cutting edge, 8970s' here i come! thumb.gif

Your rig confuses me, why would you buy a 7970 and 680 when you could have just bought two of one or the other and ran in SLI or crossfire?

Long story bro, used to have 7970 crossfire. Then got a 680 for my Yamasaki monitor to do over the Ati limited 75hz, then I sold one 7970 cause I found one card was much smoother even though I would have to turn down eye candy (debatable I know, my perception is my reality wink.gif ). Kept one 7970 for those games that do better on Ati. Crazy, I know, was a real pita to achieve what I wanted with that monitor. Pheeewww biggrin.gif

grab another 4850 for $50 shipped to tide you over in the mean while, adding a second card in CFX gave me a 20fps boost.

Doesn't matter too much to me, I'm happy with what I have now and probably won't upgrade until I get a job.
Honestly i dont get you guys biggrin.gif

You keep complaining about having a 6950,or 7whatever when my 5670 runs...well...everything so far..
Cant say i dont trun down the graphics xD and that its 1440x900...but srsly guys what gives...a 6870 is TWO times better then 5670...7whatever is far better then 6870...meaniiiiiiing your stuff can handle everything you throw at it (excluding all of those 120hz,1600p guys)..

Anyone? all i see are posts "schucks my 6950 sucks now"

The guy above me gets it,and a lot of you do..this post is just so someone can explain why people generally keep whining about their awesome cards that other people whould be happy to dream of...

Graphic cards sure did spoil some people tongue.gif

It's because most people have bigger monitors, bigger monitors = more graphics power required, and most people like to play at 60 FPS or more.
