hmmm £350 what to buy

Thread Starter
ok so a few of you have been helping me decide what to do about my failing CPU, and the fact that i have been wanting a better performing CPU. bascaily i think ive decided im going to go and buy an asus P5B Deluxe with a e6600, i can just abot afford that with the £350 i have to spend.

Im off to buy these items tomoro at some point, so if anyone can offer any advise, sooner the better please.

basicaly i was just wondering if judging by my spec below, anyone would consider other options?

would there potentialy be a better thing to spend the money on?

thanks for all your help, i imagine my questions are starting to get annoying, hopefully i wil be posting my overclocking reults soon!

id say 6400 or 6600, the 6400 oc's a hell lot better, but the 6600 has 4MB cache (or something like that) i believe. If you do get the 6400, you could probably fit in another gig of ram.

E6600 would be the way to go, and I dont think the 6400 overclocks any better then the rest, maybe 50-50 but I havnt seen enough proof that actualy shows the 6400 overclocks a lot better.
