NEED HELP ASAP 5 beeps

Hey I need some urgent help
I bought a mobo asrock z77
Intel i5 2500k and some ram

I turn the pc on with an old xp hardrive plugged into test and I get 5 beeps and if it's removed I get 5 beeps too I can get into the bios and look at everything but not onto xp as I will get the bsod and get and error code like stop0x0000007b or something like that

hmm looks like it means no VGA card:

but if your getting display I dont understand that

try reseating your gpu? or try with just onboard


Edit: Try updating the bios (theres links up on the pdf I linked)

Looks like ppl have had problems with some of the older cards (what gpu are you using?)

The INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE bug check has a value of 0x0000007B.
This bug check indicates that the Microsoft Windows operating system has lost access to the system partition during startup.

Boot from the xp cd and try a repair.

You need to either do a fresh install or a repair - you can't always just move a HDD over and expect it to work

Yeh I know but I was seeing if it would boot even though it is beeping five times and it does

In the bios ,check if primary display is set to intigrated,default is pci-e.
