ASRock 890gx extreme3, running fsb at 300mhz 24/7 ??

Hello.I have an ASRock 890gx extreme3 with a phenom 1055t on it and since it doesn"t have unlocked multiplier i was wondering is it safe for the MBO to run her"s fsb at 300mhz 24/7 because it"s the only way to get clocks that i wan"t on my cpu and memory. She doesn"t need a NB voltage bump to do that frequency and expect her to run about 2 more years tops. 24 hours a day.

It's safe as long as your voltages and temps are fine. Is it stable?

Yes she is stable at 300mhz smile.gif, max MBO temps i have seen are maybee 45C but southbridge and voltage regulation coolers are sometimes hot to the touch.Guess that"s normall.

I can go over 4.2GHZ with 300mhz fsb but i can"t get my cpu to 3.5 and memory at 1600 at the same time if my fsb is not at 300. So you think she will live at 300mhz? Ok,lets crank her wink.gif

i told you i can go up to 4.2 i know that lol,would you just read the damn posts?

Maximum is i think 14x but if i use lets say 270mhz fsb than my memory can run at about 1450 witch is underclock and i don"t want that or i can run her at over 1700 witch she can"t take.The only way to get my memory to run at 1600 and to get my cpu at 3.5 at the same time is putting fsb at 300mhz.

Is it prime stable? I have the Asrock N68C-S and I can bump my fsb up to 330 Mhz but it's not stable. Not even close. I can work for hours or play a game but then out of nowhere the box reseted or thermal shutdown. I think the power phases are too cheap and become too hot. On my board I hardly can't touch the vrm so I decided to no to overclock my fsb anymore. Now I have only overclock my cpu multiplier and I don't experience that spurious interrupts.
