X6 1045T Unlocked Multiplier?

Thread Starter
Hello everybody,

Today i took a look in my bios, and i saw that i had more options for changing the multiplier of my AMD Phenom II X6 1045T
Wich is not a black edtion CPU, but it still said i could go up to x16 3.2Ghz.

You would might say "Try it out" but i don't wanna change the clock settings at the moment.
So thanks!

I think that's the turbo core speeds for your processor and not a multi to oc all 6 cores.

There was someone with a gigabyte board that made his CPU a black edition

Oh, of course, but i think it's quite useless, because i heard you can take up this CPU to 3.8/4Ghz with ease

I hope you can set it to 16. I might actually buy it. My board is a 3+1 phase tho and I'm still new to that.

I will try it, as soon as i get a new power supply, mine already gave up once running prime95 for 30 minutes.

You can set it to x16 but CPU-z and what not will still read x14 (or whatever your default one is). It's just there for the turbo-core feature.

You might want to update the BIOS if there is no separate turbo core multiplier (and ideally you don't even want to have Turbo core enabled for overclock as it's not really easily possible to then control voltages).  Of course, get rid of the 3+1 phase board.... x6's need a good VRM system for overclocking.

Wait, why did you say he has a 3+1 board? Nevermind. Didn't see who you were responding to.
