LOL I wouldn't say best

How much did you get them for? I tried the HD555's from Compusa (since my buddy works there I buy pretty much all there products and test them then return them with no restocking fee's works out very well for writting up reviews )

anyways

I wasn't overly impressed with them, although they were much better then all of the other headphones that are offered in stores like CompUSA, BestBuy etc. The HD 595's are a huge step up in sound quality from the 555's.

Ask any audiophile what his opinion is on Sennheiser headphones and he will say the HD580's on up are the way to go.

I'm not saying those 555's are crap just that there other products far superior, but I'm sure you very happy with them. Got X-Fi?

I got some HD595 headphones a while ago. I think they're pretty brilliant, especially for classical music.
Virtually all Sennheiser headphones are very good though .

The HD555 headphones are excellent multi-genre/gaming headphones. Enjoy!

My father has the HD555, and (Ironically) I could hear absolutely no difference between those, and my Steelpad 5H's.

yes, they are good for classical. I don't listen to much rap myself, but I hear they're good for rap as well.

there's a reason why people call the hd595's some of the best all-around cans!

Yep, especially for female vocals, violin and piano, although they're excellent for all manner of musical instrument.

The headphones are good for all genres of music imo, but they especially shine with classical. So crisp and clear, they really bring the instruments and vocals to life. Since I've had these headphones, I've actually heard elements to music that I hadn't heard before. It's like discovering new layers to music, new intricacies, that I had previously overlooked, perhaps because they weren't properly articulated before and just got squished into poorly defined ambient sound.

After "burning in" these new headphones and linking them up to a dedicated headphone amp, I have been extremely happy with them. Best £100.00 I've ever spent on any audio equipment. Of course, the amp I got cost £80.00, so it was more like £180.00 on equipment, but the HD595's don't really need an amp, they just sound better with one and get a nice boost to base and volume as well.

Actually, it was soloz2 who recommended the HD595's to me, for which I am still grateful!
