FPS is extremely high in MP3?

I've a Phenom x2 550 BE and a Geforce 450 GTS and my FPS with Max Payne 3 is extremely high? I've about 100 fps with dx11 and high settings, MSAA x2 and high tessellation? But 100 fps is the lower score I've also ~400 fps. Is this because I've too low graphic card settings?

With my rig I average about 200 with spikes in the 300s.....
I think the details and other parts of the graphics in Max Payne are just not that demanding.
Also all setting max and 5760x1080 res at 119hz

With FPS that high you would see massive screen tearing. For example in Diablo III at max settings without V-Sync on to limit the FPS I get around 200 FPS which causes easily seen screen tearing, but with V-Sync on it limits the FPS to 60 so I don't have to deal with screen tearing. I think your FPS counter is displaying the wrong count IMO.

Give this a read and it says what kind of FPS you should expect with different kinds of cards.

I play in 1080p and everthing is at high switch, tesselation is also high switch and textures is very high switch. I find an average of 400 very high sometimes in the cut scenes I've 2000 fps. I'm just wondering if my graphic card settings is too low. Or my drivers are bad? I use MSI Afterburner to count the fps? But it looks good smile.gif.

From what I have put together Afterburner's FPS counter doesn't work for Max Payne 3 ATM.

Give this a read other people are having the same issue with Afterburner.

I didn't noticed any screen tearing but I've disabled V-Sync. I will try to enabled it.

Fraps is free for the trial version, which is all you need. I just tried it, and fraps is showing me `40-45 fps, while MSI AB is showing `100-200 fps.

For a day or two there I was believing AB tongue.gif , although I never notice the difference past 40-50 fps in tps so that could be partly why.
