PCI Adapter HELP!

Thread Starter
Right now I have the OCZ Mod XStream 700w. It only has 2 PCI connecters, even though I need 4 to fun crossfire 6950's. I will be switching over to intel over the summer and the power supply will be power i5 3570K , MSI Z77A-GD65, crossifre 6950s 2gb, 7 fans, fan controller, h80, 2 hard drives, 1 ssd, and 2 led strips. Would it be safe to use the molex to pci adapters or would it ruin my power supply?

It wont ruin your power supply (why would they exist if they did?) but I would say you might want a beefier power supply for those types of loads, especially if you plan to overclock. It would be safe to use those in the short term, but you are probably going to find that you have a very limited amount of molex connectors when you are done.

I have a ton of molex connectors I just dont want to ruin my power supply because it would be for a long time about 2 -3 years I would be using the adapters.

It wont ruin it, but you still should consider upgrading if you get the chance.thumb.gif
