Budget Gaming PC Build for a friend - Page 2

The main things I see wrong with your current build are the HDD and the GPU, the WD blues dont have very good reviews and the 6XXX series are outdated.

if I rem the benchmarks a overclocked 8120 should overtake that cpu the 8120 would use more power though
also why would you go with a z77 board on a locked cpu when you can get like a h77

Diablo 3, Starcraft 2, and League of Legends all rely more on the CPU than GPU. Since your friend doesn't like FPS games it shouldn't hurt to get a lower graphics card, but the CPU has to be really good to max those games, at least an i5.

The FX processors aren't as good as the I5s for gaming, multi threaded applications are where the FX processors shine. smile.gif
