Disabling VOIP, Updating your sound card drivers, Installing the latest DirectX and running Software Sound does all help. But it still doesn't stop it from crashing, it just gives you a fighting chance to play a whole round or if your lucky a map.

EA are a pile of crap when it comes to ruining Developers and perfectly good Games. Tbh God knows why, simple comunication can go along, but even this is ****ed up. I get the distinct feeling from what i've seen through my time playing what i like to think are good games, that EA work on some kind of twisted logic. Snap a deal with a up coming game, make sure the Developers are fully supported so they can create something amazing. Then once the game is released wash your hands of everything. If you look at the majority of EA franchises, most games just get progressively worse and worse, and seem to be pushed off the production line faster and faster until the game is not worth playing and the Franchise is almost dead.

Previous examples like C&C, Dungeon Keeper, The Sim are all classic examples just to name a few. Battlefield will be one of them i suspect.

Hehe P.S. look at all the **** sports games. No offense but all your paying for is a face lift and an update on the players names. This will probably offend many people, but the majoirty of EA's sports franchises are crap. But people being people are fickle, and these games will be bought.

Rant Over.
I don't have a single issue with this game right now. Not one. No CTD's, no restarts and to be honest there isn't that many bugs comapred to BF2. The only noticeable one being when the Titans are too close the game lags.

There is an EA forum if you want to bash EA

Another thing to try is to put your ram back to stock. I do that when playing BF2142 for smoother game play, I also put a bit more voltage through the ram
