That's just silly, packer literally smashed the box so it will fit, diminishing the box's ability to protect its contents.

That packaging is just fine for basic letter mail.

I have a feeling the PSU and CPU were packed with room, doubt they smashed the box in there but I fully believe the PSU shifted in transit and smashed the CPU box. In this case I would agree that THIS was backed improperly, despite the product being fine, that was just negligent.
