Need help deciding on two TV's - Page 2

I dont like 120Hz but that's me. I see too much tearing between frames. 240Hz is much better. I would go with the LED and 60Hz. LED is not that much brighter than the standard CCFL but uses less power.

There's no 240hz in my price range.

What's the likely hood of a LCD failing?

LCD usually have a service life between 30-50 thousand hours but theres always a chance that the backlighting of the panel can bust , and if it does the tv is useless..But big LCD like that get hot so they cost a ton in electricity compared to LED like considerable monthly difference , dollars to pennies really

I do go for sony hx750 if you like 3D has clean 3D image no cross talk at all whatsoever oke maybe 0.1 or 1% varries per movie you mostly wont even notice at all.

Anyway i would't go for samsung my whole life their corrupt warranty they do anything to avoid it and they scam people with 6000 series with not providing full hd 3D and halfed 3D effect yet pricing it 1100E for that price if bought a hx750 which is even better then the 7000 series or 8000 series from samsung.

if you can wait and save 200 more bux, you can get the same model and size (47") but 3d. And if you live by a sams club, or wal mart, ask them how many they have...and when they have like 2 left, they will drop the price if you wanted to wait a little longer.

I got the same exact one your are talking about (the 47") to replace my dead main board 46 inch Toshiba that went out after 2 and 3/4 years.

The picture looks slightly better on it...but I thing the Toshiba had smoother rendering even though it's 3 years old.

A perfect blu ray movie to test you tv's power on is Batman the Dark Knight...you'll know within the first 5 minutes if that tv is crap or not.

There is also a 46 inch Hitachi 120hz LED out there in walmart land somewhere.

Call your local sams, costco or go to walmart.com....the vizio and the hitachi are <$700 and the 3d one is <$870
