i just thought that the extra 4th pin is needed for cpu's so the mobo can speed up the fan if the cpu get's hot?

If not it's fine my psu prob has a couple mulex's I cneed to get another adapter then.. not sure If I want to go the fan route.. i mean right now it's idling at 29c... lol

The fourth pin will do that. If you run it with the 4th PWN pin it lets the computer dictate how fast it spins. If you run it with a regular 3-pin it runs at 100% all the time.

Yea, What VW_TDI_02 said. The 4th pin is for PWM function. If you use AMD Cool N Quiet along with a proper PWM profile you can have great cooling, a nice OC and keep the noise level down while just browsing the inter web's. Open up a game or start encoding/gaming/whatever then the CPU will up clock, dump full voltage and ramp up the fans to handle the work load.

My 955 sits at 800Mhz at idle and browsing the web. Having a low idle temp is useless so you can set the fan to a lower speed, not to mention CnQ will drop temps a decent amount on idle.

Not going to lie, airflow is quite good, I get low temps to be honest never went past 50 c on load at 3.8ghz, lol I bet my lungs are not good quality tho tongue.gif

lol i had the same case.

Don't get cockey keep your vCore <1.40v and oc till you hit the voltage wall. your VRM's will be safe and your temps too.

OP, are you asking how are you going to be able to hook up 2 4-pin fans to a single header? If so, buy a PWM splitter and disconnect the green wire from one of your pwm fans.

It's okay now, lol im stable right now @ 3.8ghz with low voltage, this mobo was 30$ ^_^...

not trying to do anything special, I just felt so good finding the hypermaster v212 @ a local computer store for only 25$ no tax too, lol.

I just wanted to make a topic to show u my computer, everyone always bashes me because i don't have a "case" or making it "fancy" which is irrelevant because

having a computer case like this just shows that it doesn't matter what's on the outside of a person.. only the inside.. if I get a good cpu and cooler that is all that counts right? (the heart) of a human is the same you shouldn't be judging people by what's on the outside, as you see in post #15....

yep, the case menas nothing in a true value. ive seen people post pics of the setup in a cardboard box. others leave everything sitting on their desk. do what ya gotta do.

having a computer case like this just shows that it doesn't matter what's on the outside of a person.. only the inside.. if I get a good cpu and cooler that is all that counts right? (the heart) of a human is the same you shouldn't be judging people by what's on the outside, as you see in post #15....
