One of the best value keyboards that is mechanical is the CM Storm quick fire rapid. It doesn't have a numpad though, but it is made by Costar, which also makes Filco keyboards. It has some problems with over branding though.
The Rosewill keyboards are great too, they are probably the best bang for your buck if you do want a numpad. smile.gif
Or so I've heard, because I can't get one in Norway biggrin.gif

Just want to get one of the better ones this RAzer one cuts off mid game and I have about had it with it.

What is better blue MX
cherry red MX
Brown MX or black MX?

Looks like brown has the best mix and red best for gaming

I prefer the Blue myself. They feel better to me for typing and work just fine for gaming. The one drawback they have to gaming is that their actuation point is pretty high so if you have to double tap a single key really fast. you might miss a stroke. I had this problem in Batman AC when youre fighting Solomon Grundy and you have to run around and double tap the 3 key to quick fire the explosive gel then double tap 3 again to detonate it all while running around and dodging. There were several times when I missed one or two because I was tapping it too fast. However, that is the only time I ever had a problem with it. Id still stick to Blue keys though because I like the feel of them for typing. They are kinda loud though.

All the razer ones are blue keys. Why are the reds better for gaming?

They are basicly lighter blacks, which are linear and dont have a "bump" midways to tell you that you have activated the switch. Browns are lighter blues and make less sound but have the tactile bump and blues have a distinct bump and are stiffer than browns.
The keyboards I mentioned are very good keyboards, they are on par with Filcos and other big brands.

Because they are linear...no bump or noises to bother you when gaming and you can quickly double tap if needed. I actually think blacks are better just because their take more force to press each button, but after typing on them for a long time it gets kind of fatiguing...not anything I couldn't deal with though. That's why I use a cherry red board at work and a black at home for gaming. Usually. smile.gif I swap boards around quite often but I like linears. Reds and Blacks!

Its all personal preference. I prefer my membrane G510. Others despise and loathe membrane keyboards. I like Blue's because I like the clicky feel of the keystrokes but others dont because the reset point is too high and can cause problems in gaming like I mentioned above.

Good, Im not the only one. My wife thinks Ive got OCD or ADD or some kind of disorder because Im always switching out my mice and keyboards every week or so. Its just cool to have something else to play around with and change things up.
