I am having a problem with my drive, not sure what could be the problem, please advise:

Hi! You shouldn't have downloaded and installed those drivers, those are specifically for Intel Desktop Boards (motherboards made by Intel themselves), you should download and install the normal RSTe drivers.

Intel released a new version of the normal RSTe recently, along with the ones you downloaded, here is the thread I made about it with the download link.

Hi,

I am actually using drivers from your thread on fresh installed OS, results are not much better and i am getting same "could not open ... " error."

Intel does not release irste or irst drivers just for Intel made mobo's. They are for different chipsets across the entire platform.
