Please advise - Asus Formula IV - i7 3930K

Hello all,

I am pretty new to overclocking, so, please help me if you can biggrin.gif

My current setup is:

i7 3930K
Asus Formula IV
ATI Sapphire 7970 OC
4x4 Corsair 2133 Mhz (11-11-11-27) 1.5v
Corsair 1050W

I am trying to find safe settings for this setup, but i am unable, i did some research and most of them are for rampage.
Settings are similar, but not everything is the same comparing from the pictures (i would say)

I was following newbie settings from here:
http://www.overclock.net/t/1186959/rampage-iv-extreme-uefi-guide-for-overclocking#post_15989554

... end up with this results:

zDTaf.png
hX8Ec.png

Is this fine? Should i tweak anything else in BIOS? (Am i getting almost the best i can from this setup?)

And my new setup looks like: (nothing that you didnt already see, i understand that, but if you have any recommendations, please tell me:thumb: )

Thank you! thumb.gif

Are those temperatures at full load; with say IBT or a version of P95 LATER than 25.11, since the versions after that have AVX and run much hotter.

Also, those voltages are way, way too high for those clocks. Are you using the automatic voltage settings or are you setting the voltages yourself?

Try adjusting the voltage yourself. At those clocks you probably won't need more than 1.3v.

I think you should read this guide: http://www.overclock.net/t/1189242/sandy-bridge-e-overclocking-guide-walk-through-explanations-and-support-for-all-x79-overclockers

It will show you how to properly overclock. The "newbie" settings are invariably bad for your CPU.
