Watercooling maintanace ( HELP IM NEW )

Ok , im a newb at watercooling ...
I can fit watercooling and build a PC and all that good stuff however i am clueless as to how i keep my water cooling healthy. I will only be putting my CPU under water. so it shouldnt be too dificult. But i have heard you need to clean out your cooling ect. ect. Basically what i am asking is ... when do i clean out my watercooling ? how ? what with ? and the procedures and anything else you clever people may think will help me and make my life easier.

Im sorry for what is to you lot a newbie thread but im only young and starting out and we all need to learn somewhere. Thanks a bunch smile.gif

Ok, if you want easy maintenance then you want to go with distillde water + silver kill coil/pt nuke. You will only need to clean the loop out and change the water every 9-12 month. EASY!! thumb.gif
No need to clean the blocks etc unless they are oxidized or have corrosion occurring. In this case you can disassemble the blocks (just some screws) and brush the block with ketch up and a tooth brush, then soak it in dilute lemon solution overnight.
To change out the water, it would be much easier if you install a drain line, but if you don't just get a bucket, unplug all the power and take off psu, gpu etc and have the bucket under the lowest fitting and cut the tubing on it. Let the water drain out and you're done. biggrin.gif
